Directions to Ubuntu learning centre:
The purpose of Ubuntu Learning centre is to become an Ecovillage learning centre.
- By bus board the Mponda via Kasisi minibus from Lumumba Station and drop at the Old Clubhouse before Mponda shops. There is a single market stall at the station and take the only branch road from there. Along the way ask for directions to the new house for Headman Chikancila. The Learning Centre is just after Headman Chikancilas house on the left where there is a green water tank which is visible from a distance.
- By car take the Great East Road from town and take the Airport road past Waterfalls shopping mall. Just before the entrance to the airport take the left turn and proceed straight for about 8 km up to the end of the tarmac road. There take the left turn and proceed for 2km along the gravel road. Then take the next left turn and proceed for 1900 metres.
Along the way ask for a Google location from 0977770034 or 0978402378.
The landmarks along the way include Kasisi mission which will be on your left, the Blue shop with the inscription No Jesus No Life which will be on your right the gravel road. You can turn left at the Blue shop and keep turning left you will see the Green Tank at the Learning centre after 2 kms.
